Tour Of Udawalawe National Park

Established in 1972, the park is located approximately 180km’s from Colombo and is the third most visited national park in the country. It is a vital habitat for Elephants and Water Birds and covers roughly more than 30,000 hectares. The park was formed to offer a refuge for the wild animals displaced by the building of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River. It is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.A day tour of the national park can be arranged and we highly recommend that we start our journey at 6.30am from Colombo or Negombo or at 7.30am from the South Coast.
